What to Expect When You Visit Us
We can’t wait to welcome you to Jersey Village! We are grateful that you are thinking of visiting us soon. So that you feel comfortable and “at home” during your visit, here are some of the things we do on a typical Sunday.
Bible Class
Beginning at 9:00 am, we conduct Bible classes for all ages. We spend this time studying Scripture and discussing how it applies to our lives. We encourage you to attend one of our Bible classes and will direct you to the class of your choice. During the class, feel free to make comments, ask questions, or sit back and observe—whatever you are most comfortable with!
Worship
Our worship service begins at 10:00 am with a song, followed by a greeting and some announcements. This will be followed by more congregational singing, and you if desire, sing with us! The words to the songs are projected on the screen as a convenience.
During our worship service, we will hear a message presented. We also pray and observe Communion. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is a special meal in which Christians reflect on the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. All Christians are invited to partake of this meal with us. After Communion, a collection will be taken up from our members; but as our guest, you should feel no obligation to give.
At the end of the service, we will be dismissed with a closing prayer and song. Our hope is that your time at the Church of Christ in Jersey Village is a blessing. If we can do anything to make your visit more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to let us know! May God bless you!
